Nigeria’s First Prof of Architecture, AdeyemI Ekundayo, is dead

The first professor of Architecture in Nigeria and Africa South of Sahara, Ekundayo Adeyinka Adeyemi, is dead.

Platforms Africa reports that the Former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Akure (FUTA) was also the first indigenous Head of Department of Architecture and Dean of Environmental Design in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

A veteran journalist and former governorship aspirant in Ekiti state, Babafemi Ojudu, announced Professor Ekundayo’s death through an update on his Facebook page.
